Jerry Wayne Crutchfield left this life April 15, 2013. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Klamath Memorial Park.

Jerry was born Dec. 12, 1935, to Harvey and Monique (Clevenger) Crutchfield in Wright City, Jefferson County, Okla. Jerry had six brothers and one sister. His family moved to Dorris, Calif., in 1947. He lettered in four sports and graduated from Butte Valley High School. He married his high school sweetheart Betty Bonds in June 1954. Jerry and Betty had two children, Marvin and Teresa.
Jerry was a paratrooper in the Army with tje 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Ky. from 1954-61. Jerry was a "jack of all trades" during his lifetime, working in a turquoise mine, as a butcher, contractor, and maintenance man and site manager. He was a hard worker, with a smile for everyone, and always ready to help anyone in need. Jerry married his second wife, Lee Briggs, in December 1984.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lee; brothers Donald Crutchfield, Robert "Bobby" Crutchfield, Richard Crutchfield; sister Iva Gene Dean; and stepdaughter Vicki Welsh. He is survived by his son, Marvin Crutchfield of Eugene; daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Tim Hardin, and son-in-law Rick Welsch of Klamath Falls; grandchildren Nicole Hardin of Herndon, Va., Megan and Matt Kennedy of Klamath Falls, Joe Hardin of Washington, DC, Lisa Crutchfield of Klamath Falls, Jeremy Crutchfield of Eugene, Charlotte Wood of San Jose, Calif., Rachelle Lowers of Moreno Valley, Calif., Abby Welsch and Anna Welsch of Klamath Falls; brothers Milton and Gladys Crutchfield of Portland, Ted and Sue Crutchfield of San Jose, and Jimmy Crutchfield of Colorado Springs, Colo.
