Jessie Winona Ward passed away at her residence on Mina Bird Drive, Bonanza, Ore., on Sunday, Jan. 27, with family by her side.

Jessie was born in Klamath Falls, Ore., on May 24, 1933, to James and Winona Cramblet. She was married to Carl Joseph Ward on Nov. 23, 1955, in Klamath Falls. Jessie worked with the U.S. Postal Service for many years and enjoyed gardening, being a member of the Moose Lodge and the local Veterans of Foreign Wars. She also cherished playing with her grandchildren.
Jessie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Carl and Lisa Ward, grandchildren Matthew and Sydney Ward, all of Bonanza, a brother James Cramblet of Beatty, Ore., and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Winona Cramblet, husband Carl Joseph Ward and sister Caroline Mairs.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the CMA Chapel in Bly. A fellowship time and sandwiches will be provided after the service. Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd, now at 2680 Memorial Drive, is in charge of arrangements.
