Joseph Price Watkins, 94, of Klamath Falls passed away Dec. 8, 2012, at Sky Lakes Medical Center of natural causes.

A celebration of life service will be today at 11 a.m. in Eternal Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens.
Joseph Price Watkins was born July 11, 1918, in Eckert, Colo., to Joseph W. and Louisa M. Watkins. He was raised and educated in Petaluma, Calif.
In 1937, he moved to Malin, Ore.
Joe was married to Eleanor G. Petersteiner in 1952. They raised four children before she preceded him in death.
Joe coached the young men's basketball team called the Town Team and would go on to coach Little League teams while his children were young. He worked for the Tule Lake Irrigation District for over 30 years, having retired in the 1980s.
His personal interests were hunting, camping and fishing. He loved going to Crane Prairie and Dairy Creek. He was a strong family man and loved spending time with the children.
Survivors include his children Joe and DeAnn Watkins of Merrill, Ore.; Tom Watkins of Sacramento, Calif.; Joanne Watkins, Irvine, Calif.; and Elizabeth "Beth" and Roger Buhrle of Klamath Falls; two sisters Merle Kirkpatrick of LaPine, Ore.; and June Moszeter of Spokane, Wash.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will miss their "Poppi."
Services are entrusted to Eternal Hills Funeral Home.
