We celebrate in Josephine Maye Johnson's new life with the Lord.
Her date of departure was Feb. 28, 2013, at the age of 78 in Klamath Falls, Ore.
A graveside service of tribute and love will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens with Lee Morrow officiating.
Josephine was born on Oct. 7, 1934, in Sabetha, Kan., to Ruth and Virgil Morrow. She attended and completed beauty college in Reno, Nev. She worked until she began her family. Josephine then dedicated her life to work as a foster parent for years, which she considered her life's ministry.
She married Obert Eugene Johnson on Oct. 27, 1956, in Reno. They were married for 55 years until Obert's passing on Sept. 11, 2012, at 80 years of age.
Josephine was a member of Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, bunko, camping, computer games, and most of all her relationship with the Lord.
Survivors include her son Eugene, daughter and son in-law Jayna and Dell Havird, and grandchildren Cary and Raechel Havird, all of Klamath Falls, Ore.; adopted daughter Debbie Rehman of Portland, Ore.; brothers Roger and his wife, and Lee Morrow; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister and one brother.
