Minerva "Micki" Caroline Piper, 91, died March 21, 2014, at home due to stroke complications. Born Dec. 19, 1922, in Caro, Mich., she graduated from Wayne State University and began her teaching and art careers. Micki taught for 60 years in Michigan, California and Oregon. She was a member of the Grange in Chiloquin, Collier Park Logging Museum, Oregon Master Gardeners and Two Rivers Village Arts. She faithfully played the piano for Sprague River Friends Church and Fort Klamath Methodist Church. She was a regular volunteer with Sage Community School, Kaleidoscope of Learning and Art in the Park. Micki is survived by Ed, her husband for 65 years; sister, Jessie; son, Alex; daughter, Winnifred; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
