Paula Mullendore passed away on Sept. 1, 2012, in Phoenix, Ariz., after her courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on Sept. 7, 1967, in Klamath Falls to John and Pauline (Herlihy) Mullendore. She grew up in Klamath Falls, graduating from Mazama High School. She received a bachelor's degree from Oregon Institute of Technology as a radiologic technologist and a degree as a diagnostic medical sonographer from PCC in Portland, Ore.
For most of her career, she chose to travel as a temporary ultrasound technician, which took her to many states. Hawaii always remained her favorite.
People will remember Paula for her adventuresome spirit and willingness to accept new challenges. Because of her travels, she was able to enjoy many lifetime friends.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brothers John Mullendore of Parkesburg, Pa., and Mark Mullendore (Haydee) of Bayview, Texas, and sisters Nancy Mullendore of Eugene, Ore., and Lisa Mullendore (Philip) of Tucson, Ariz. She also is survived by her nieces Faith and Grace of Bayview.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1996.
A memorial service was held in Phoenix, Ariz., on Sept. 7, 2012, at Mountain View Christian Church, attended by family and friends. Disposition by cremation was performed by LaPaz Funeral Home in Phoenix. Her ashes will be scattered in Hawaii at a later date.
