Thomas Danial Fitzgerald (1945 - 2013)

Ret. Sgt. Thomas Danial Fitzgerald went home on Jan. 19, 2013. He was 67 years old.
He was born in Tacoma, Wash., on Sept. 28, 1945.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Cathaleen Fitzgerald.
Tom joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1964 and after boot camp, served three tours in Vietnam. After 10 years, Tom received an honorable discharge and worked in construction on high rises in Portland, Ore. In 1984, Tom enlisted with the U.S. Air Force and relocated to Klamath Falls, Ore., to assist in the reopening of Kingsley Field, where he was a jet engine mechanic until his retirement in 1994.
Tom enjoyed going to the beach, fishing, woodworking, listening to music and playing pool.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Christina and Jason Pearsall and their children of Fife, Wash.; son and daughter-in-law Jamie and Kristen Fitzgerald of Aloha, Ore.; son Derek Harris and his children and daughter Desirae Pierce and her children, all of Klamath Falls; ex-wife and very special friend Susan Holliday of Klamath Falls; and his forever faithful companions Shadow and Tuffy and many wonderful friends at Topper's.
A wake will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Topper's, 5125 Weyerhaeuser Road.
