Bernie Arlen Miller

Bernie passed into the Kingdom with his family by his side Feb. 6, 2014.
Bernie was born Jan. 29, 1951, in Portland, Ore., to Arlen G. Miller and Genevieve Phillips.
He lived all his life in Klamath County as a proud 1954 member of the Klamath Tribes. He attended Klamath Union High School in the class of 1969.
Bernie worked in a number of mills throughout Klamath County, sometimes traveling more than 100 miles a day for work.
He was an avid hunter and a dedicated grandfather.
Bernie married Darla Elder in 1976 and divorced. He later married Marti Mitchell. Bernie was dedicated to the family of Richard Garcia and had a very close relationship with his nephew, Brian.
He is survived by his wife, Marti Mitchell; children, Casey, Danny, and Angela Miller; sister, Faye Brattain; brothers, Glenn Miller and James Kirk; he was very close to his nephews and nieces Brian Brattain, Justin Goddard, Shelsae Walker, and Rachel Adams; step-sons and step-daughter Derek Granillo, Wayne Granillo, and Martie (Podzy) Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arlen Miller; sister, Joy Miller; niece, Chandra Goddard; and step-daughter, Nicki Garcia.
Viewing will be Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd. A memorial service will follow directly after the viewing at 1 p.m.
