Dorothy M. Bandick, 87, passed away Feb. 10, 2014, at her residence in Klamath Falls with family by her side.
Dorothy was born in Carlisle, Ark., Dec. 20, 1926.
Arkansas was home until, as a young mother, she moved to Southern California in 1952. There she met and married William Bandick in Burbank, Calif. She worked in the aircraft industry and was involved in the Apollo program. In 1975, they moved to Cave Junction, Ore., where she loved to grow vegetables, to quilt and attend Bible study.
Dorothy was active in her church and the Lady Lions Club.
She is survived by her husband, William; sons, Frank (Shirley) Hubbard of Klamath Falls and Les (Glennice) Hubbard of Sparks, Nev.; daughter, Sherry (Alan) Scott of Seattle, Wash.; step-daughter, Lee (Gary) Godin of British Columbia, Canada; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, in Living Faith Fellowship, 4549 Homedale Road, Klamath Falls. A reception will follow at the church. Arrangements by Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd, now at 2680 Memorial Drive, Klamath Falls, OR, 541-883-3458.
