Marlene Janice Childers, 80, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, in Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford with family at her side. She was born Dec. 9, 1933, in Portland, Ore., to Stanley Biehn and the former Hazel Alcinda Robertson. She was primarily raised in Seattle, Wash., where she graduated from Roosevelt High School. Marlene moved back to Oregon in 1975. After meeting Jim Childers, the couple married on June 17, 1978, in Klamath Falls, Ore., where they have lived ever since. She was very active in Christian activities in the community. They were members of Faith Tabernacle at the time of her "Graduation to be with Jesus." Family was always first with Marlene, who was an excellent wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandma. She loved family gatherings with everyone. Marlene is survived by her second husband, James E. Childers of Klamath Falls; her children, Michael I. Brock of Knoxville, Tenn., Debra J. Gibilisco and Stan Brock, both of Klamath Falls, Pam Johnson of Portland, Ore., Randy Childers, Chester, Md., and Denny Childers, Klamath Falls; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by first husband, Richard I. Brock and one son, Richard D. Brock. A celebration of life service will be Saturday, May 10, 2014, in Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God, 2610 Shasta Way, Klamath Falls, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jim Boyd officiating.
