Eva Thomas-Ernst passed away surrounded by her loving family May 25, 2014. She was born in Two Rivers, Wis., and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho, with a sister Emily and two brothers Ray and Kenny. Eva often told the story of how she waited on Ty Cobb several times where she worked. Eva married her first husband, Jack Thomas, and they relocated to Klamath Falls in 1950. They had two daughters Connie and Ellen. After her first husband passed away, she later married Harry Ernst. Eva ran a business for 30 years. She enjoyed her friends, her home and her beautiful roses and loved our lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Porterfield; husband, Harry Ernst; first love, Jack Thomas; and her brothers, Ray and Kenny. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen and husband, Gary Wood; grandsons, Kevin Bigby and Todd Porterfield; granddaughters, Kellie Wright, Jackie Porterfield and Korrie Slayton; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Doug Ernst and his wife, Virginia and their family; and her sister, Emily Lee. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens. Eternal Hills Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
