A life well lived … A woman well loved. Donna Marie Laborde "Grandma Donna", 86, of Klamath Falls passed into eternal peace to be with her Lord, surrounded by many of her treasured loved ones May 26 2014. Visitation will be June 6, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at Davenports Chapel of the Good Shepherd. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. at United Church of Christ Congregational (2154 Garden Ave.) June 7, 2014, with David Hedelman officiating. A private burial for family and close friends will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens. No reception to follow. Arrangements by Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd, now located at 2680 Memorial Drive, Klamath Falls OR, 541-883-3458. Donna was born Sept. 14 1927, in Bemidji, Minn. She graduated high school in Lakeview, Ore., and was a long-time resident of Klamath Falls. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She enjoyed gardening, reading and sewing/crafts. For holiday's and special occasions, she was known for her individualized boxes full of cookies and treats for family and friends. She filled her home with pictures of her loved ones and Angels to watch over them all. Donna was an active member of United Church of Christ Congregational, sang in her Gospel Choir and cherished her personal relationship with God. "Grandma Donna" found her greatest pleasure in her family and friends. By blood or by love, when she took you into her heart and home, you were hers. As matriarch of a large and extended family, she gave freely and loved beyond boundaries. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, two sisters and two husbands. She is survived by her daughter, Lana Tice; son, Pat Nichols and his wife, Rhonda Nichols; daughter, Dawn Speer; daughter, Denise Beeman and her husband, Roger Beeman; granddaughter, Lisa Neufang and her husband, Ben Neufang; granddaughter, Terra Tice; grandson, Ian Nichols; grandson, Justin "JJ" Nichols and his wife, Melissa Nichols; grandson, Ty Nichols and his wife, Caroline Nichols; grandson, Jeane Speer; granddaughter, Treva Speer and her fiance, Josiah Shafer; granddaughters, Melissa Newton, Alexis Beeman and Taryn Beeman; granddaughter, Erica Brandon; great-granddaughters, Sherice and Elizabeth Brandon; great-grandson, Thomas K. Inglehart; great-grandsons, Brayden Nichols, Noah Nichols and Henry "Hank" Nichols; great-granddaughters, Pheobe Nichols and Sophia Beeman; and three more great-grandchildren will be born in 2014. She is survived by her sister, Lois Johnson, and many nieces and nephews. In addition, she is survived by honorary children, Robert Mabou and his wife, Sheila Mabou, and honorary daughter, Megan Willburn. Special best friends, Mickie Hoskins and her husband, Randy Hoskins, and numerous beloved church and neighborhood friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital or . The family and friends of Donna wish to express their gratitude for the outpouring of condolences and prayers. "Grandma Donna" will forever live in our hearts and memories as a guardian angel for everyone whose life she touched.
