Linda Anna Compton passed away on Sept. 11, 2012.
She was born on Aug. 1, 1918, to Herman and Anna Meinhold in Forman, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Richard W. Compton, daughter Sharon M. Compton and granddaughter Tammy L. Compton.
She is survived by her husband Charles E. Compton, sons Stanley C. Compton (Kathy) and Ronald L. Compton, granddaughters Kristina M. Gonzalez (Ricardo) and Jennifer AC. Stallings (Craig), great-grandson Brady C. Compton, great-granddaughter Rian KC. Stallings, sister Martha North and nieces and nephews.
Linda was a homemaker, devoted Christian and active in the LWML and Alter Society at Zion Lutheran Church.
In 1951, she moved with her husband from Minnesota to Klamath Falls, Ore., and in 2009 to Salem, Ore., to be near her family.
She enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends. She selflessly took care of all who were around her.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, Oct. 8 2012, at 1 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church. Internment will be at Eternal Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 1025 High St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601.
