Janice "Jan" Ann Owens, 68, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, in Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford.
Jan was born July 30, 1944, in Hot Springs, Ark., to Willard Vaught and Florence Barlow.
She married Billy Owens in Reno, Nev., in August 1966. Jan and Bill lived a good majority of their lives in Klamath Falls, moving to the Rogue Valley in 2002 and settling in Central Point.
She worked for many years as a teacher's assistant in Klamath Falls City Schools.
She was first and foremost a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband Bill and her two sons Brett "B.J." Owens and his girlfriend Javonna Marroquin and Brian Owens and his wife Angie and their children Cody and Emma. Survivors also include her brothers Gary Vaught and Dennis Vaught.
She was predeceased by her brother Jerry Vaught.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, in Perl Funeral Home, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford, Ore. 97504, with viewing from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and the service from 11 a.m. to noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
