Garret Hilyard, beloved husband of Jean Hilyard, passed away Jan, 28, 2013.

Services will be at
10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 in Klamath Tribute Center with Lee Bailey officiating. A reception will follow.
Garret was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Klamath Falls to William Ferral and Frances (Short) Hilyard. He was raised in Klamath Falls, attending Henley schools and Oregon Institute of Technology.
Garret served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. After his discharge, he returned to farm with his dad and brother Glen. He married Jean June 21, 1946.
He enjoyed family, music, dancing, flying, visiting with friends and RVing to the Oregon Coast.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Larry Hilyard and wife Debbie; daughters Shari Daniel and husband Clayton, Susan Bailey and husband Lee, and Linda Hilyard and husband Todd; five grandsons; three great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Glen, son Steven, and grandson Nicholas Trainor.
Garret spent his life in honesty, love, and kindness, always putting others first.
