Harriet Ann Friesen (Worden) passed away peacefully Feb. 2, 2013. Her family was with her.
The Guest Book is expired.
Harriet was born in 1929 to Archie O. Davig and Mary B. (Strong) Davig in Alliance, Neb. The family moved to Klamath Falls when she was 9 years old. She attended Henley School and graduated from Sacred Heart High School.
She married Bob Friesen after World War II and they had a daughter and two sons. Bob and his dad owned Friesen Plumbing and Heating, and Harriet worked as a legal secretary for Dick Beesley and Harry Boivin. She was then Mr. Boivin's secretary throughout his tenure as senator. Bob and Harriet purchased Friesen Plumbing and together they ran the business until Bob's death in 1978. Later, Harriet married James Worden and their marriage lasted until Jim's death in 2011.
Harriet was an intelligent, lively, spunky woman who loved to have fun. She especially enjoyed playing bridge, including duplicate bridge and tournaments. She also bowled for years and played a little golf. She was an active member of Living Hope Fellowship.
In addition to living in Klamath Falls all her life, she owned a home and a houseboat for many years at Shasta Lake, where she loved playing hostess to her myriad friends and family.
Harriet leaves three children Linda (Jan) Thomas of Portland, Ron (Jackie) Friesen of Springfield and Rod (Barb) Friesen of Puyallup, Wash. She is also survived by five adoring grandchildren Tiffany, Jeff, Ryan, Randy and Christina and five great-grandchildren.
Harriet/Mom/Noney/Grandma is the loving matriarch of our family and we will always miss her.
A celebration of life will be Feb. 9, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. in Living Faith Fellowship, 4549 Homedale Road, Klamath Falls, OR 97603, 541-884-4720.
