Carol Potucek
Carol June Potucek, 72, died in Klamath Falls June 16, 2013.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Laki Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon in O'Hair Funeral Chapel.
Born to Theodore and June Albert Jan. 14, 1941, Carol grew up in Klamath County and graduated from Bonanza High School. She spent her early years participating in 4-H, cheerleading and won the Dairy Princess crown in 1959.
Following graduation, Carol cooked for various ranches around the Klamath Basin until she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life Robert Potucek. They raised three children and enjoyed square dancing together. Carol worked closely with Bob in building and decorating their homes as well as many rental properties. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing and knitting. She made sure that all of the new babies had special blankets.
Carol is survived by son and daughter-in-law Greg and Marta Potucek, son Jeff Potucek, and daughter Cindy Potucek. She was an adoring grandmother to Hailey Potucek, Nick Bartell, and Raelyn, Cody, and Tanner Hamel, a loving sister to Larry Albert and wife Maure and Gail Mowdy, and especially close to friends Carol George and Terry Milne. Carol also is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and brother Kenneth Albert.
