BONHAM - Funeral services for Wayman Edmond Sadler, age 77 of Bonham, TX will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, TX. Pastor Kevin Lane will officiate, with Mr. Millard Doan Brent assisting.
Wayman was born on February 9, 1937 in Windom, TX to Houston and Gladys (Hilliard) Sadler. He was a graduate of Borden County High School at Gail, TX. After graduation Wayman started working for Dallas Airmotive as an airplane mechanic; while also doing part time work for Wayne Shipley Real Estate as an agent. He later started work for Agee Oil Company in Dallas as an engineer. He relocated to Bonham, and started his own business as a paint contractor until retirement.
He married Margaret Donohoe in 1961; together they had two sons. Wayman loved his family with a gentle and kind selflessness spirit. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping, especially with his wonderful grandsons. He was a member of the Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas.
He is survived by two sons Greg Sadler and Tim Sadler, both of Bonham; grandsons, Hayden and Jaren Sadler of Bonham. He was preceded in death by father, Houston Sadler; mother, Gladys Sadler, four brothers, Edwin Sadler, Lowell Sadler, W.J. Sadler and Bill Sadler.
Serving as pallbearers will be Hayden Sadler, Jaren Sadler, Ronnie Sadler, Roger Sadler, Jimmy Kirkpatrick, and Jeff Wallace. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Mills, Don Winkler, and Marlin Donohoe.
Family visitation will be held Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, TX from 6-8 p.m.
