McKINNEY - Roberta Allen, 91, of McKinney died Sunday, June 16, 2013 in Plano. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, with John Mark Clark officiating. Burial will be at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Tuesday and Wednesday prior to the service. Services are under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.

She is survived by her son, Robert C. Allen of McKinney; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 10 great-greatgrandchildren.

DENISON - William F. "Bill" Amos, 76, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born Sept. 26, 1936 in Gunter, the son of Rev. Floyd and Vesta (Chaffin) Amos. He married Abilene Todd on July 27, 1954. This year they would have celebrated their 59th anniversary. Bill was a brick mason for 35 years. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Abilene Amos; daughters, Billie Teague, Cindy Bevill and husband David; four grandchildren: Jeremy Wright, Travis Bevill, Bailey Bevill and Taylor Bevill; great-grandson, Caleb Clark Wright, all of Denison; two brothers, Ray Amos and wife Mozella of Mead, Okla., Charley Amos and wife Nancy of Arlington; four sisters, Marita Campbell and the late Delbert of Keene, Shirley Toney and husband Fred of Weatherford, Janie Groce and husband John of Weatherford, Brenda White and Jeff Peterman of Columbus, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Floyd and Vesta (Chaffin) Amos. Bill's passing leaves huge hole in our lives and our hearts and he will be deeply missed by his wife, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchild and many family and friends.

Funeral services for Bill will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Trinity Lighthouse Church in Denison with Pastor Jimmy Jeter officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Colbert, Okla. Family visitation will be held from 6 -8 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013 at Fisher Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be David Bevill, Travis Bevill, Jeremy Wright, Freddie Toney, Mike Clearwater and Harold Ramsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Campbell and Dean Arnove.

BOKCHITO, Okla. - Thomas "Tom" Collins, 62, of Bokchito, Okla., died Monday, June 17, 2013 in Denison, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito with Tom Green officiating. Family visitation will be from 6 - 7 p.m. Wednesday at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla. Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant.

DENISON - Parker Eugene Glassco, 53, died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at TMC surrounded by his family, after a short battle with cancer. According to his wishes, Mr. Glassco was cremated and his memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 at Lakeway United Methodist Church in Pottsboro. Rev. Allen Snider will officiate.

Parker was born on May 10, 1960 at Luke Air Force Base, Glendale, Ariz. to his parents, Richard and Karen Cole Glassco.

He graduated from Mesquite High School in Mesquite, and received his Associates Degree from Grayson County College. Parker was a helicopter mechanic for the United States Army; licensed heating and air journeyman and was employed by American Accessories as a machinery mechanic. He loved being involved in soccer as a coach and referee.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Janet Babb of Denison; parents, Richard and Karen Glassco of Denison; sons, Richard Glassco II and his wife Rashell of Denison, Michael Babb of Kingston, Okla., and Luke Babb and his wife, Jackie of Wylie; daughters, Randi Tibbetts of Garland, Katie Jordon and her husband, Cody of Caddo, Okla., Michelle Elliott of Isanti, Minn., Barbara Elliott and C.J. Hamilton of Invergrove Heights, Minn., and Amy Babb of Houston; brother, Richard D. Glassco of Denison; sister, Connie Witt and her husband, Tim of Mason; 14 grandchildren, Brooke Smith, Jacob Tibbetts, Jaycie Tibbetts, Jaxon Glassco, Mackenzie Bryner, Sawyer Bryner, Thomas Elliott, Dakota Munson, Earl Lee Hamilton, Alyssa Babb, Brendon Babb, Michael Babb III, Scarlett Hickman-Babb and Paisley Babb and a host of extended family and friends.

GORDONVILLE - Katherine Hopkins Hill, 71, of Gordonville died Monday, May 20, 2013 in Maryland while surrounded by family. Those who had the privilege of knowing her were awed by the tenacity in her fight against pancreatic cancer and the absolute grace she displayed while dying. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother and a generous and loyal friend. She loved the simple things in life and was an excellent cook. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dale Hill of Gordonville; daughter, Julie Hill Shaffrey; sons, Michael and Stuart Hill and sister, Jackie Hopkins Cunningham. She leaves behind a legacy of five granddaughters and three grandsons.

POTTSBORO - Wanda Lea Love was born June 26, 1937 in Cooper to Barney and Jeanettie (Collins) Hunter and passed from this life on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison at the age of 75. Wanda lived on a farm growing up with her eight sisters. After graduating high school, she moved to Dallas and worked for the Cokesbury bookstore for several years. Wanda then moved to north Texas and began managing apartment complexes in Howe, McKinney, Allen, and most recently in Pottsboro. She lived everyday with a smile and made everyone laugh. The joy of her life was her son and family. Wanda had a giving spirit and helped anyone who needed help. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and anything outdoors. Wanda was loved and will be missed by all the people whose lives she touched.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son, Mike Hunter and his wife Rhonda of Pottsboro; grandchildren, Samantha and Alayne Hunter of Pottsboro, and Travis and Trae Shearer of Bells, Texas; sisters Helen Esce and her husband Bobby of Blossom, Maedell Dodd of Comanche, Judy Walling, Arlene Weeks, Bettye Wear, Sherry Michael, and Jackie Gay and her husband Keith all of Paris, Texas, and Sandy Love of Longview; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 -8 p.m. on Wednesday at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, at Little Vine Cemetery in Lamar County with Pastors Brad and Glen Michael officiating.

DENISON - Thomas Warren Lietz, 84, entered into eternal life Monday, June 17, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Lietz was born Nov. 8, 1928 in Evansville, Ind. the son of Charles and Florence (Kerlin) Lietz. He married the love of his life, Betty Lou Prince on March 18, 1950. Thomas served his country proudly as a chief hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy for more than 30 years before retiring. He later worked 15 years at the Grant Public Schools in Grant, Okla., teaching with a master's degree in psychology. Thomas loved the Lord and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Lietz is survived by his beloved family, wife of 63 years, Betty Lou Lietz of Denison; daughter, Rebecca Lietz-Garcia of Denison; son, Charles Bradley Lietz of Denison; three grandchildren, Amy Waymire, Kacey Newsom and Ryan Garcia all of Denison; five great-grandchildren, Austin, Linzi, and Cody Waymire and Ashten and Hunter Newsome of Denison; sister, JoAnn McGregor and husband, Leo and their son, Mike of Evansville, Ind.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, James Lietz.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 at DFW National Cemetery with full military honors. There is no set time for family visitation.

June Arlin Sansom, 84, died Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Mineola.

He is survived by a son, Don Alexander of Austin; daughters, Carla Morris of Winnsboro, and Shirley Rohus of Mineola; a sister, Elizabeth Nadine Massey of Celina; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Sansom will be held from noon till 2 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013.

A Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Grady Dollar and Rev. Wren Foster officiating.

SHERMAN - Services for Reka LaNell 'Nell' Shepard, 89, of Sherman who died Sunday, June 16, 2013 in Whitesboro, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Dannel Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Phil Coats will officiate. Family visitation will begin at 2 p.m. one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Shepard was born Nov. 26, 1923, in Greenville to Archie and Viola White. She received her Bachelor's and her master's degrees from East Texas State Teacher's College in Commerce. She married Alfred Dayle Shepard on Aug. 22, 1948.

Mrs. Shepard had a heart for service to others. She taught special education, high school business, and adult education. She was the Red Cross executive director for eight years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sherman, and served on many committees within the church. She was on the Building Committee of Wesley Village Independent and Senior Living. She was a member of the AAUW, B&PW, and Altrusa clubs. Mrs. Shepard was very active in United Methodist Women, having served in leadership at the local, district and conference levels. She was also a Lay Speaker for the United Methodist Church. In addition, she was a lifetime member of the PTA.

Nell was an amazing artist and musician. She painted and did pottery. She also played the piano, violin and the accordion. She loved traveling and the outdoors. Her most notable and favorite trip was a tour of the Holy Lands.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bob Burkhart; and her husband of 51 years, Dayle Shepard.

She is survived by her son, Bill Shepard and his wife Linda of Whitesboro; her granddaughter, Alicia and husband Shelby Harris of Marietta, Okla.; her grandson, Josh Shepard, of Denton; her great-granddaughter, Kaitlin Harris; and her sister-in-law, Audrey Burkhart of New Jersey.

Pallbearers will be Josh Shepard, Shelby Harris, Chris Hawkins, and Ed Reid.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County, 505 W. Center St., Sherman, TX 75090, Or to First United Methodist Church of Sherman, 401 N. Elm St., Sherman, TX 75090.
