Allen Jr, Lee - Bonham  
BONHAM - After a courageous battle with cancer, Millard Lee Allen, Jr. passed away on August 27, 2015 in Arlington, Texas at the age of 69. Lee is survived by his wife, Jan Allen of Arlington, Texas; his son, Clint Allen and his wife, Sarah Allen, of Houston, Texas and numerous cousins. Lee was born in 1946 in Henderson, Texas to Millard Lee Allen and Melba Abigail McKee Allen, who predeceased him. He graduated from Henderson High School in 1964. He married Jan Standifer in 1992. Lee was a mortician, a bank officer, owner of Callender Mortgage Services for the last 17 years, and in recent years, also became a purveyor of his wife Jan's homemade salsa, "Bugtussle Burn". Lee was a kind and generous man who would do anything for his family and friends. Lee also loved animals, especially his dear German Shepherds and his horse Jake, and he volunteered his time with German Shepherd rescue groups. Lee was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church of Bonham, Texas, where he was active on many boards through the years. He was also a member of the Rotary Club and especially enjoyed working with the Special Olympics. Lee was a master Mason and member of the Carthage Masonic Lodge #521. A funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, Bonham, Texas with burial to follow at Willow Wild Cemetery. A reception will follow at the church. Pastor Dyan Dietz will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lee's life. Dockery, Cheryl Deanene - Celeste  
March 28, 1966 ~ August 28, 2015 CELESTE - A Memorial Service for Cheryl Deanene Ellison Dockery, 49 year old Celeste resident, is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday August 30, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Celeste. Brother Charles Wrenn, Brother Shawn Stubblefield and Brother Jim Sherwin will officiate. Cheryl was born March 28, 1966 in Dallas, Texas. Her parents were Doyal and Dean Nichols. She married Jay Mark Dockery March 18, 1995 in Trenton. She was a 1985 graduate of Celeste High School and a graduate of Cosmetology Career Institute of Greenville. She worked as a Nail Tech and was a member of the Trenton Church of Christ. She passed away Thursday August 27, 2015 at the Baylor University Medical Center of Dallas. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Mark Dockery, of Celeste; her son and daughter-in-law, John Wesley and Carrie Acker of Celeste; her grandchildren, Kira Marie Acker, Jaylee Ann Green and Connor Caleb Green, all of Celeste; her sister and brother-in-law, Katrina and Michael Mitchell of Celeste; her brother, Paul Hansley of Celeste; her sister, Jessica Rhoden of Celeste; her niece and nephew, Tiffannie Mitchell and Cody Mitchell of Celeste; her uncle, Edward Vaughan of Canton and her aunt and husband, Clarice and James Bowen of Greenville. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents: Doyal and Dean Nichols; her uncle and aunt: Jesse and Donna Ellison; her niece, Amanda Nicole Mitchell; her granddaughter, Harper Nicole Acker and her aunt, Louise Vaughan. Sanders, Beedy Ivy - Whitewright  
WHITEWRIGHT -Beedy Ivy Sanders was born March 20, 1936 in Whitewright, Texas to Hubert Lee Sanders and Mittie Iona Owens Sanders. She died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas at the age of 79 after a fall on June 30th. Beedy was a lifelong resident of Whitewright and a member of the First Baptist Church. She worked at Texas Instruments for 24 years retiring in 1990. She was loved and will be missed. She is survived by sister, Bessie Sanders of Whitewright; sister-in-law, Barbara Sanders of Sherman; nieces, Kathy Jones of Denison, and Tina Caro of Sherman; nephew, Mike Sanders of Denison; nephew-in-law, Milton Page; great-nieces, Melanie Page, Madeline Page, Meagan Page, Lyla Caro, and Kelly Haley; great-nephews, Chris Jones, Michael Sanders, Nick Sanders; great-great-nephew, Mason Heimer, Austin Haley, Talan Haley and Easton Neal; great-great-nieces, Natalie and Jaden Sanders. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Teeman and Edward Sanders; nephews, Aaron and Owen Sanders; niece, Edwina Page; and great-niece Rachel Caro. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Houston Garner. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas. Pallbearers will be Michael Heimer, Charles Haley, Mike Sanders, Michael Sanders, Milton Page, and Ignacio Caro. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 3-5 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright. Williams, Robert Edward - Bonham  
BONHAM - Funeral services for Robert Edward Williams, 87, of Bonham, TX will be held 11 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2015 at the First Methodist Church in Bonham, TX with Rev. Dyan Dietz presiding. Burial will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham. Serving as Pallbearers will be Russell Graves, John Wigley, Kevin Walker, Larry Wooldridge, Mike Kennedy and Wilson Howell. Family visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Bob was born October 30, 1927 to John and Mary (Summerlin) Williams of Maypearl, TX. Bob was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He served in the Army of Occupation of Japan for 2 years obtaining the rank of Staff Sargent and then served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War obtaining the rank of Captain where he was part of the atomic energy program at Sandia Laboratory in New Mexico. After his military service he taught school for 32 years and was the Superintendent of Schools in Windom, TX for 5 years and the Principal at I.W Evans in Bonham for 23 years. He is survived by his wife Mary Williams, two sons, Dr. James Williams and wife Teppy of Allen, TX, Joe Williams of Bonham and three grandsons, Nicholas Giannasi, Zachary Williams and Chasen Williams, a great-granddaughter, Olivia Jane Giannasi. He is further survived by his younger brother C.E. Williams and his wife of Arlington, TX. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Jane Ann Giannasi.

SHERMAN - Jerry W. Adams, 77 yrs, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2015 at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas. Brad McClenny will officiate. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Sherman. Jerry was born in Leonard, Texas on February 5, 1938 to Earl and Jewel Adams. He was married to Mary Frances Adams on July 9, 1975. Jerry was patient man who enjoyed being involved with his children lives. He was an active member of Country Chapel Baptist Church in Denison. He worked as a realtor in Grayson County and enjoyed traveling with his wife. Jerry is survived by his wife, Mary Adams of Sherman; son, Mike Adams and wife Gina of Sherman; son, Chris Adams and wife Laura of Denison; son, Scott Adams and wife April of Sherman; son, Tim Adams and wife Cindy of Sherman; sister, Joyce Billings of Melissa, Texas; brother, Bobby Adams and wife Linda of Greenville, Texas; brother, David Adams and wife Pinkie of Florida; brother, Kenneth Adams and wife Jackie of Bonham, Texas; friends, Don Morrow and John Carlisle; 12 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. Baker Jr., Bert - Sherman  
Bert Thomas Baker, Jr., loving husband of Patsy Baker, went to be with the Lord the evening of August 24th, 2015. He was 68 years of age. The family will be at Bratcher Funeral Home for visitation Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 28, 2015 at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Roddy Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Pallbearers will be Steve Withers, Tyler Withers, Danny Shrum, Dylan Work, Shane Purvis and Zachary Bachman. Bert lived a full life and was a member and Sunday school teacher of the First Baptist Church of Colbert. He was an active member of the Jaycees of Sherman for several years. He graduated from Sherman High School and Grayson College with a Business Management Degree. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Vietnam. He left behind his wife Patsy; three children, Don Chennault and wife Sue, Jodi Withers and husband Steve, Jennifer Purvis and husband Shane; grandchildren Tyler Withers, Logan Richardson, Sara Withers, Cassie Bennett and husband Jessie, Lisa Lee and husband Eric, Mandy McHugh and husband Jake; great-grandchildren Autumn, Ava, Jackson, Noah, Titus, Toren, Landon; sisters Judie Watson, Patti Schnitker; brother Daryl Baker and wife Lisa; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Bert Thomas Baker, Sr. and Patsy Adeline Baker and brother-in-law Marvin Watson. Bennett, Alan - Pottsboro  
POTTSBORO - Alan Grant Bennett, 66, passed away Saturday, August 22nd as a result of Lou Gehrig's disease. The only child of Walter Bennett and Madeline McNair Bennett, Alan was born November 9th, 1948 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Alan was a 1967 Duncan Demon graduate and attended The University of Oklahoma majoring in music where he was also a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Alan was a member of the OU Pride marching band. Later, Alan was the music director at Madill public schools and Sayre public schools in Oklahoma. He served as the camp director at Pettijohn Springs Christian camp before moving to Sherman, Texas where he was an insurance agent for Farm Bureau. Alan returned to education with a masters degree in education from Texas A&M at Commerce. He retired from the Denison School District in 2011 after 20 years of "molding the minds of young people." Alan enjoyed world travels, music, golf and the blessing of good times with his many friends. Alan is survived by the love of his life Arlene Riley and his three children: Leah Alexander and her husband Lavan of Little Elm, Texas, their daughter Emme, and Alan's soon to arrive grandson London Alan Alexander, Alan's son Bret Bennett and wife Brittany of Sherman, Texas, their three daughters Baylee, Bella and Blair, and Alan's son Grant Bennett of Pottsboro, Texas. He is also survived by Arlene's children Shane and Rebecca, grandchildren Ashlyn, Liam, Hana and Rafa and great grandson Riley. Chappell, Wilola - Sherman  
DENISON – A Life Celebration in honor of Ms. Wilola Carolyn Shannon Chappell, age 71, of Denison, TX, will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at Progressive Baptist Church in Sherman. Reverend Terry White, will be the Eulogist. Burial will follow at Magnolia cemetery in Denison. Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. at Cravens Funeral Home, 225 W. Brockett St, Sherman. Wilola was born on May 21, 1944 in Sherman, to the late Reverend Lewis B. and Varnell Shannon. She was raised up in a Christian household, and received her education from the Sherman public schools. On September 9, 1959, Wilola married Mr. James Thomas Chappell at Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Sherman, where she remained a member throughout her life. Wilola worked as a Direct Care Professional for many years, until her retirement. God called Wilola home on Wednesday August 19, 2015. She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, son Edward Wayne Chappelle and 17 siblings. She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Thomas Chappell, Sr., (Patricia) of Copperas Cove, TX, Johnny Chappell (Vanessa) of Waco, TX, Jarvis Chappell of Denison, daughters, Wilola Walker of Gunter, TX, Martha Walker and Velma Delmast, both of Denison and Ramona Chappell (Brian) of Exmore, VA , God-children, Cody Lyons and LaTesa Riley both of Denison, brothers, William, Robert, John and Jerry Shannon, all of Sherman, and Rev. Charles Shannon of Houston, TX, sisters, Fannie Cage of Austin, TX, Varnell Shannon, Brenda Wright, Elvira Price and Iona Shannon Ellis, all of Sherman. She also leaves behind, Joshua, Jatizha'Lynn and J'Mona Delmast, whom she helped raise, as well as a host of grand, great grand and great-great grandchildren, and special friend for over 30 years Kenneth Courtney and other family members. POTTSBORO - Lewis Creech, 90, of Pottsboro, died Saturday in Pottsboro. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel in Denison. The Rev. Nancy Powers will officiate. A family visitation was held from 6-7 .m. Monday at Bratcher. Creech is survived by wife Wilma Hunt Creech of Pottsboro, sons Steve Creech of McAlister, Oklahoma and Robert Creech of Pottsboro, daughters Pam McIntire of Pottsboro and Glenda Ward of Pottsboro, and ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
