Pierce, Gladys - Savoy  
SAVOY – Graveside services are planned for Gladys L. Pierce, 96 year old Savoy resident. Gladys passed away Thursday morning, December 18, 2014 at the Mullican Care Center in Savoy. She was ready and looked forward to meeting her Lord. Gladys was born north of Savoy on November 25, 1918 to parents Charlie G. Hawk and Myrtle (Sanderson) Hawk. She married George Pierce in Bonham on October 2, 1943. George preceded her in death in 1984. Gladys was a member of the Savoy Church of Christ and worked as a cook before retirement. She is survived by her son, Chris Pierce and his wife Laura of Crystal Beach, Texas and by her brother, John Hawk & his wife Lorene, of Savoy. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy. The graveside service will immediately follow at 11 a.m., at Fairview Cemetery, FM 2645, Ravenna. Mr. John Hawk, her brother, will conduct the service. Pool, Juanita - Denison  
DENISON - Juanita (Skeet) Hampton Pool passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 22, 2014 at Beacon Hill in Denison. She was born February 28, 1920 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Max and Louise Hampton. Weighing in at less than 3 pounds at birth, her brother said she was as small as a mosquito and began calling her Skeet. She grew up in Booneville, Arkansas where her family owned the Booneville Democrat weekly newspaper. She graduated from Booneville High School in 1937 and the University of Arkansas in 1941. While at the University of Arkansas she met her future husband, Charles K. Pool. They were married on February 14, 1942 after the outbreak of World War II. Charles was shipped overseas to England as a combat bomber pilot. After the war they lived in Arkansas and Tennessee moving to Denison in 1956. Charles managed lumber companies in several states that relocated them to offices in Houston, Waco, and Indianapolis, Indiana. They returned to Denison in 1967 and the family purchased Main Street Lumber in 1971. Skeet helped Charles in the business for many years. Skeet loved her church, her family, and her friends. She was a life-long Methodist active at Waples Memorial United Methodist church in the United Methodist Women and the Criterion Class. She was involved in many service and civic organizations such as Lions Club, Chelsea Park Garden Club, the Denison Service League, Bargain Box, and Monodrama. She was also proud of her work with scouting beginning as a Cub Scout Den Mother and continuing with her involvement in Boy Scout Troop 605. Skeet is survived by her sons, Chuck Pool and wife, Sheryl of Denison, Robert Pool and wife, Patty of Denison; grandchildren, Charlie Pool and wife, Heidi of Boerne, TX, John Pool and wife, Kelly of Dallas, Weetau Pool of Denison, Forrest Pool and wife, Dana of Dallas, and Wesley Pool and wife, Deann of Denison; great grandchildren Jackson and Ryder Pool of Boerne, TX, Max Pool and William Hampton Pool of Dallas, Landry and Harrison Skeet Pool of Denison, and Gaines Pool of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles K. Pool; parents, Max and Louise Hampton; brother Lester (Buddy) Hampton and sister Dorothy Zachariah. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 9:30 am at Waples Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. Roy Spore officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Denison. Family visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison. Memorials may be made in her name to Waples Memorial United Methodist Church, 830 West Main, Denison, TX 75020. Condolences may be registered online at www.fisherfh.com. Powell, Christeen - Durant  
DURANT, Okla. - Christeen Powell, 89, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, Okla. with Darel Bunch officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Durant. Family visitation will be from 6 - 7 p.m. Friday at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. She is survived by daughter, Wyvonne Elaine Powell Cantrell of Richardson, TExas; daughter, Dr. Doreatha Jean "DJ" Powell of Plano, Texas; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Presley, Eva - Durant  
Eva Presley a resident of Colbert, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the age of 80. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma on Thursday, June 14, 1934 to Joe and Georgia (Swan) Presley. Eva was a caretaker for her mother Georgia Presley and her sister Minnie (Doll baby) Presley. She was a member of the Center Union Baptist Church in Colbert. She was a manager for Texas Instruments, Litton, Hughes & Douglas Aircraft and the owner of the night club Ebony Rose in Colbert, Oklahoma. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, crossword puzzles, dominoes and fishing. Eva is survived by her daughter, Tonya Moore of Corona, California; son, Dana Charlotte of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Hubert Lee Presley of Colbert, Oklahoma, Cecil Presley of Los Angeles, California, Hazel Presley of Las Vegas, Nevada, Louis Presley of Colbert, Oklahoma and Jimmy Presley of Calera, Oklahoma; sister, Minnie Elaine Presley of Colbert, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Georgia Presley; sister, Lou Presley; brothers, James Henry Presley and Bobby Joe Presley. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Center Union Baptist Church, 108 Eagle Dr., Colbert, Oklahoma with Rev. James Bollin and Rev. Brent Butler officiating. LEONARD - Porter Thomas Reeves, Sr., 94, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 in Leonard, Texas. Robinson, Boyd Glen - Leonard  
Funeral Services for Boyd Glenn Robinson, 68 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday at the Leonard Church of Christ. Bob Lewis and Charles Wrenn will officiate. Burial will be at the Grove Hill Cemetery near Leonard. Family visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m. until service time at the Leonard Church of Christ. Boyd was born July 16, 1946 at Leonard. His parents were Guy Thomas and Jewel Dean Blackshear Robinson. He married Nancy Jo Sudderth July 9, 1965 at Leonard. He worked as a farmer/truck driver and he was a member of the Leonard Church of Christ. He was a very special husband, "pops" and "poppy" and he was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He was a very good farmer and he took great pride in his work. He passed away Wednesday December 24, 2014 at the Leonard Manor. Boyd's family appreciates so very much the love, kindness and tender care given to him by the Leonard Manor Staff. He is survived by his wife: Nancy Robinson of Leonard; his son and daughter-in-law: Gregg and Deanna Robinson of Whitewright; his son: Glenn Robinson of Leonard; his sister and brother: Billie Gilliam of Celeste and Barney Robinson of Fort Worth; his three grandchildren: Courtney Robinson, Dane Robinson and Gracie Robinson. Sealey, Robert H. - Bonham  
BONHAM - A funeral mass for Robert Hays Sealey, 77, of Trenton, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Bonham under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Arturo J. Molina will officiate. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours, Texas. Michael Ajewole will officiate. Robert passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 18, 2014 at Medical Center of McKinney. Robert was born June 21, 1937 in West, Texas, the son of Albert Oliver Sealey and Elizabeth Early Sealey. He was a graduate of West High School and attended the University of Texas at Arlington. Robert married Connie Willenberg at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, Texas on Aug. 31, 1958. He was a systems analyst/programmer for a data pocessing company. Robert was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Bonham. He was preceded in death by his parents. Robert is survived by his wife, Connie Sealey of Trenton; son, Robert David Sealey of Plano, Texas; two daughters, Kelly Marie Hooper of Shawnee, Ks. and Susan Sealey Stratton of Leonard, Texas; two sisters, Connie Mae Weyant of Vacaville, Calif. and Bobby Sue West of Georgetown, Texas; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joshua David Sealey, Clint Wren, Michael David Sealey, Bill McCormick, Phillip Timmons and Jimmy Ferguson. Shellnut, Michael Tracy - Sherman  
SHERMAN - Michael Tracy Shellnut, 59, of Sherman, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014, at his home, after a long battle with cancer. His family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, December 22nd, at Dannel Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 23rd in Dannel Memorial Chapel. Rev. Charles Stanley, of Georgia, will officiate. Interment will follow immediately afterward in Melissa Cemetery. Michael was born October 14, 1955, in McKinney. He was a truck driver for Liberty Sand and Gravel. His greatest love was time spent with his family. Mike's life was filled with love for people, and helping those in need, never expecting anything in return. All who met him immediately experienced his robust laughter and love for life. To be in Mike's presence was to be encouraged. Survivors include his loving wife, Lori Shellnut; son, James Shellnut; daughters Catherine Hogg, Diane Hawthorn, Jaime Womack and Marsha Chapin; brothers, Bobby Stanley, James Stanley, Ken Stanley, Charles Stanley; sisters, Linda Perry and Edna Menrod; thirteen grandchildren, and 50 nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Snyder, Charles Drake - Denison  
DENISON - Charles Drake Snyder, 65 year old Denison resident died at his home on Thursday, December 18, 2014. Charles was a loving father, grandfather and husband. He was a selfless and kind father. He was a Marine everyday of his life. He left his mark in this world on those he loved, and who loved him and they will miss him greatly. Charles was born November 21, 1949 to parents Charles Nelson Snyder and Josephine Eleanor (Drakley) Snyder in Atchinson, Kansas. He was a retired Manager for Proctor and Gamble Company, and served three tours in Viet Nam. He loved being a father, husband, grandfather, and a Marine. Charles is survived by his wife, June of Denison; two sons, Charles Eric Snyder of Rowlett, TX and John Drake Snyder and his wife Takae of Edgewater, New Jersey; one daughter, Callie Snyder of Denison; sister, Jodi Chapman of Ennis, TX; and five grandchildren, Jacob Ryan Snyder, Ethan Paul Snyder, Matthew Drake Snyder, Katelyn Paige Snyder and Kirstin Kate Snyder. The family will receive friends at the Mullican-Little Chapel from 5:00-6:30 P.M., Friday, December 19, 2014. Funeral services for Charles are set for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells with a Marine Corp Honor Guard at Cherry Mound Cemetery in Denison immediately following the chapel service. Stephens, Catalina Crisostoma (Nicholas) - Bonham  
Funeral services for Catalina Crisostoma Stephens, 86, of Bonham, will be held at 2:30 P.M. Monday, December 22, 2014 at Seventh & Main Baptist Church in Bonham under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Cody Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Catalina passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 in Denison, Texas Catalina was born March 8, 1928 in Inarajan, Guam, the daughter of Jose San Nicholas and Serefena San Nicholas. She married Ed Ray Stephens on January 25, 1941 in Inarajan, Guam. He preceded her in death July 5, 1994. Catalina was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Bonham. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. In addition to raising her own family, she worked for First Baptist Church in Bonham and was a mother and caregiver to those she knew. She was a survivor and POW of WWII during the Japanese occupation of Guam. She was very brave working as an interpreter during this time. She was 12 years old when occupied and 17 years old when liberated in 1944. Catalina is survived by, seven sons, James E. Stephens and wife, Pamala of South Fork, CO, Orland Lee Stephens and wife, June of Ector, TX, Johnny Ray Stephens and wife, Holly of Allen, TX, Almer Joe Stephens and wife, Jodi of Van Alstyne, TX, Vernon Robert Stephens and wife, Kim of Hendrix, OK, Charles Samuel Stephens and wife, Shelly of Bonham, TX, Toney Ken Stephens and wife, Nikki of Bells, TX; five daughters, Maria C.
