Bill Miller

SHERMAN - Bill W. Miller of Sherman passed away Sunday, Jan. 20. 2013 in the Medical Center of Plano, Texas at the age of 82 years.

He was born Aug. 27, 1930 in Fayetteville, Ark., a son of the late Hallie and Dollie Skelton Miller.

On June 3, 1955 he was united in marriage to Annette Ringo of Ironton, Mo., who survives. They were married at the First Baptist Church of Ironton. To this union was born two sons, John Miller of Henderson, Nev., and Bob Miller of Burbank, Calif. Also surviving are a niece Kathryn Holcomb, Ph.D., and husband John Hawley Ph.D., two sisters-in-law, Roberta Thompson and Evelyn Lindberg of Ironton, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jayne Miller and Jurene Holcomb.

Bill received his B.S. and law degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sherman, The Texas Bar Association and Grayson County Bar Association. He was active in Boy Scouts, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and during the Korean War, he served his country in the United States Air Force.

Funeral services will be held on Fri. Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. from Cole Family Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Boeving officiating. Visitation will begin Fri. at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Ironton.
