Cecil Earl Perkins(1950 - 2014)

DENISON - Cecil Earl Perkins, age 63, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 surrounded by his family at his home in Denison.

Mr. Perkins was born July 31, 1950 in Denison, Texas; the son of William and Modine (Steward) Perkins. Cecil married the love of his life, Jerrie Rhoades on March 28, 1968 in Sherman, Texas. Together they raised a family and simply loved life.

Mr. Perkins worked at Reedrill as a supervisor for over ten years, he co-owned C & P Paint and Body Shop for 24 years with Buddy Crabtree, and he and his wife owned the Colbert Coffee Shop for 6 years. He had a passion for cars and he loved to fish any chance that he got.

Cecil loved his family beyond measure and they will miss him deeply. Mr. Perkins is survived by his loving family, wife of 46 years, Jerrie Perkins, two daughters, Stacy Perkins and Vicki Jones, eight grandchildren, one sister, Lucille Marshall, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his two sons, Robert "Robby" Perkins and William "Bill" Jones, his parents, and one sister, Patricia Harris.

Funeral services for Mr. Perkins will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 15 at Fisher Funeral Home with Gary Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 14 at Fisher Funeral Home.
