Damon Roy Pannell Sr.

SHERMAN - Damon Roy Pannell Sr. was born in Rockspring to Edgar and Jean Pannell on December 13, 1949 and passed away on December 29, 2013. He was in Bridge Construction and a Master Carpenter. He loved music, fishing and camping and will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor and kind heart.

Damon was preceded in death by his father, Edgar and two former wives, Cathy Jones and Donna Colbert.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Pannell of Sherman; his mother, Jean Pannell of Gordonville; two daughters, Patty Smith and husband Cass of Sherman and Sherry Caskey of Bonham; one son, Damon Roy Pannell Jr. and wife Stacy of Campwood; stepchildren, Stephanie Lawhon of Ravenna, Kim Fields and husband David of Bailey, Shanda Hartnett and husband Lance of Bonham, Ronnie Colbert and Robin Colbert of Bonham; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grand and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Eddie Pannell and wife, Debbie of Campwood, Keith Pannell and wife Jan, Dale Pannell and wife Carol; and one sister, Terri Greener, all of Gordonville; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Bailey Bible Baptist Church in Bailey, Texas with Brother G. Hunt and Tyler Guillette officiating.
