EUNICE, La. - It is with great sadness that the family of Daniel Carl Burrus announces his passing on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at his residence. He was 51. A Celebration of Life was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice, La. with Pastor Tim Moffett officiating.
Daniel served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He was an assistant driller in the oilfield offshore. He loved building model air planes and cars, but most importantly he was a beloved husband, son, father, brother and friend. Most of all, Daniel adored his wife and family and enjoyed spending time with them.
He will be very deeply missed by his wife, Melinda Burrus of Eunice; his parents, Curtis and Eileen Burrus of Sherman, Texas; his three daughters, Felecia Martin of Eunice, Sara Janot of Prairie Ronde and Rachel Burrus of Eunice; his brother, David Burrus of Sherman; and his sister, Lori Willett of Allen, Texas. He was blessed with four grandsons, Shawn, Seth and Shay Martin and Tyler Janot.
At the request of the family visitation was held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. until time of services.
