HENDRIX, Okla. - David Albert Buckman, 54, entered into eternal life Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma after a long illness and courageous battle.
Mr. Buckman was born August 31, 1957 in Detroit, Mich., the son of Albert Henry and Nancy Lou (Johnson) Buckman. He graduated from Denison High School and attended Grayson County College. David married Paula Snodgrass October 13, 1992.
He worked for Texas Instruments for many years. David loved the outdoors, fishing, animals and most of all his family and friends. David was a member of Hendrix Church of Christ. He was a kind, loving father, son, brother and uncle. David will be greatly missed by all who know and love him.
Mr. Buckman is survived by his beloved family: daughter, Tina Pick and husband Dan of Omaha, Neb., and her mother, Cheryl Gruidel of Omaha, Neb.; granddaughters, Zoe and Caitlin both of Omaha, Neb.; mother, Nancy Davis of Denison; father and stepmother, Albert and Jean Buckman of Savoy; brother, Bret Buckman of Whitesboro; half brother, Scotty Buckman of Sherman; and aunt, Dorothy Goforth of Denison; and a host of nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Buckman, stepfather, Leo Davis, and aunt, Helen Davis.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 28, 2011 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Minister Jan Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in Kemp Cemetery. Family visitation will be held one hour prior to service time on Saturday.
