Doris Ann Clinton(1935 - 2014)

SHERMAN - Doris Ann Clinton, age 78, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus, Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Texoma Healthcare in Sherman.

Mrs. Clinton was born May 22, 1935 in Sherman, Texas the daughter of John Milton and Laura May (Eyer) Saltzman. She married the love of her life, R. V. Clinton July 8, 1952 in Whitesboro, Texas.

For 35 years, she was a very caring and compassionate nurse working for Dr. John Ellis, Wilson N. Jones Hospital and Grayson County Jail. When she wasn't helping others she enjoyed being with family, friends and going bowling.

She loved the Lord and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Sherman. Doris was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Clinton leaves behind her beloved family, husband of 61 years, R. V. Clinton of Sherman, Texas, daughters, Tonya Tucker of Sherman and Penny Williams of Denison, Texas, grandsons, John Michael Tucker and Wesley Stinson, granddaughters, Katlyn Tucker and Jennifer Flowers and five great grandchildren, brothers, John Saltzman and wife, Lois of Savoy, Texas and Lewis Saltzman and wife, Letha of Sherman and sister, Johnnie England of Whitewright, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lola Saltzman and beloved daughter, Patricia Ann Clinton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 8 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Dacus officiating. Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 7 at Fisher Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Dan Williams, Roger Tucker, John Michael Tucker, Wesley Stinson, Dylan Stinson and Logan Stinson.
