Elizabeth B. Bailey, 83, of Sherman passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011, at Texoma Medical Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 11, 2011, at 10 a.m. in Dannel Chapel with Brother Charles Glass of Faith Church officiating; with a visitation after the service. Interment will take place at a later time in St. Joseph, MO where she will be buried next to Jesse J. Pankau at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Elizabeth was born in Bolckow, MO, on May 25, 1928, to James and Beulah (Coy) Walker. Elizabeth was a member of the Elks Lodge
and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She enjoyed dancing, music, playing cards and shopping. She was a wonderful caregiver to those who were in need.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, late husbands, three brothers: James "Speck" Walker, Wally Walker, Fred Walker, sisters, L.V. Bernard, Mary Miller, Eveline McCarty, Georgia Belle Walker (twin to Elizabeth.) She is survived by four sons: Charles Chamberlain of Sherman, TX, Cleve Chamberlain and wife Linda of Krum, TX, Alan Chamberlain and wife Shirley of Hawkins, TX, and Stanley Pankau and wife Deborah of St. Joseph, MO; a daughter, Linda Lennon of Sherman, TX; grandchildren; James Scott Chamberlain, Stacey Chamberlain, James Wesley Chamberlain and wife Minnie, Jessica Chamberlain, Rachel Pankau, Kim Sherer and husband Heath, Jada Brawner, and Jamie Gromatzky and husband Benjamin and great-grandchildren; Haley Chamberlain, Charles Smith, Austin Bryant, Makayla Bryant, Nikki Bryant, Levi Pugh, Destani Jones, Timothy S. Jones II, Rowyn Brawner, Kegan Brawner, and Samuel Gromatzky; a brother, Douglas Walker and wife Charlotte of St. Joseph, MO; three sisters: Josephine Cole of Glendale, AZ, Ruth Hartman of Cameron, MO, and Patricia Greenlee of Seattle, WA.
