James David Howe of Baton Rouge, Louisiana went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 1, 2014.
James was born October 8, 1977 to Carl E. and Sherry (Baker) Howe in Denison, Texas. He attended Denison High School. In 2006, he graduated from ITI College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with honors. James was ranked 2nd in his class receiving a degree in Instrumentation. For the last seven years, he has been employed with MMR Refinery Construction Company in Baton Rouge, where he was a key piece in the company. He considered Baton Rouge his home. He was of Pentecostal faith. James will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
James was preceded in death by his grandfather, James David Howe, grandmother, Alma Bates Howe, and maternal grandfather, Leonard B. Baker Sr. and grandmother, Gloria Gable Baker.
James is survived by his family, mother, Sherry Baker Howe and father, Carl E. Howe of Denison, two brothers, Carl E. "Eddie" Howe and wife, Anna of Denison and John Williams Howe of Livingston, Texas, sister, Dorcas Howe Barnes and husband, Edward of Durant, Okla., two nieces, one nephew and numerous aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 9 at Truth Church on Hwy 75 S exit 67 in Denison, Texas. Pastor David Gilbert and son, Darren Gilbert will be officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will be at Fisher Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 8 for visitation.
Pallbearers will be Michael Kuykendall, Brian Kirby, Steve Cobb, Willy Platt, Ken Cruson and George Malone.
