Mary Frances Chaney, age 85, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Christ Thursday, May 8, 2014 in Arlington, Texas.
Mrs. Chaney was born March 16, 1929 in Denison, Texas the daughter of Ben and Lola (Wilson) Boens. Mary had many talents, seamstress, beautician and loved doing crafts. For years she worked at M&P Bank where she was proof supervisor. She also went to beauty school in Marshall, Texas and owned and operated Southside Beauty Shop. The great joys of her life were her family, dear friends and her faith. Her life was a true testimony of what it means to be a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and was a member of Alpha & Omega Community Baptist Church. Her passing leaves a void in so many lives, but her indomitable spirit will dwell in our hearts forever.
Mary is survived by her beloved family, daughter, Janice Thorne and husband, James of Denison, granddaughter, Sherrain Myles and husband, Marcus of Arlington, two great grandchildren, Madison Myles and Mason Myles, nieces, Carolyn Phelps and husband, Homer of Sherman, Texas, Erica Milam of Sherman, Quida Hicks of Houston, Texas, Marsha McDuffie of Houston, and Brenda Keene and husband, Jeff of St. Louis, Mo. and nephew, Rev. Billy W. Milam and wife, Georgetta of Denison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Annie B. Smith and Humertis Milam.
A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Rev. Billy Wayne Milam officiating and Rev. James R. Thorne giving the eulogy.
