DENISON - Nancy Lou Johnson, Bass, Buckman, Bell, Davis, age 81, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Texoma Medical Center.
Nancy Lou Johnson was born December 10, 1932 in Denison, Texas the daughter of Dewey and Nance (Ironfield) Johnson. Nancy married Albert Buckman, the father of her three children, in 1952. Nancy graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1982. She worked as a waitress in Denison and Sherman for many years. She later worked as caregiver for a health care business before retiring in 1979. She attended St. Patrick Catholic Church in Denison for many years before her health would no longer allow it. Mrs. Davis has touched many lives throughout her 81 years on this earth, and she will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Davis leaves behind her beloved family, son, Bret Buckman, grandchildren, Nikki Mitchell and Tina Pick, great grandchildren, Zoe and Katy, sister, Dottie Goforth, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Davis, daughter, Nancy Buckman and son, David Buckman.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Deacon Gary Vogel officiating. There is no set time for family visitation.
