Qualin Trevon Hayden

SHERMAN - Qualin Trevon Hayden, 19, was taken too soon from this life and went home to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013 at the Choctaw Memorial Hospital in Hugo, Okla.

Qualin Trevon Hayden was born May 21, 1994, the son of Dana Hayden and Sheila Richards in Sherman. From his earliest moments in childhood it was very apparent that Qualin was placed on this earth to bring joy to his family and friends with a one of a kind smile that was extremely contagious. Qualin's parents were his biggest fans and had their hands full for the majority of his life, running around town to his baseball, football and basketball games from little league to high school varsity.

Qualin shined on the Sherman Bearcats basketball court, and throughout the season he was regularly approached by loyal fans that truly enjoyed watching him play the game that he loved. Even with his busy sports schedule between games and practices he still managed to find time to be outdoors with a rod and reel, trying to catch a fish; and of course he always found time to play a few video games. Qualin Hayden was absolutely a blessing to everyone who knew him, and he will always be held closely in the hearts of his family and friends.

Qualin is survived by his beloved family, father, Dana Hayden; mother, Sheila Richards; stepmother, Trena Hayden; step-father, Reginal Knight; three brothers, Dana Hayden Jr., Deontre Guess and Deondre Guess; two sisters, Amber Huey and Danielle Hayden; grandparents, Dan Hayden, Carolyn and Buford Greenwood; great-grandmother, Edna Jones; girlfriend, Jasmine Wrenn; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eddie Hayden.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at Trinity Lighthouse Church in Denison, with Pastor Steven Lewis of St. John CME officiating. Interment will follow at Cederlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. A Wake will be held from 6 -8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 at Fisher Funeral Home.
