DENISON - Steve Wayne Norris, 61, entered into eternal life Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center.
Mr. Norris was born Sept. 28, 1951 in Wade, Okla., the son of Jessie "Lee" and Zula Lee (Adams) Norris. Steve was a self-employed general contractor married 27 wonderful years, an outdoors man: loved fishing, hunting, racing and camping with family, grandchildren and friends. He enjoyed get-togethers and "picking" flea markets. He was a big kid who naturally attracted people of all ages and from all places who enjoyed living. He was a man of many fascinating stories, an "automotive whisperer" and loved animals. "Steve was loved by many, a good friend and partner, someone you can't ever forget and one that I will always love and hold deep in my heart" – Wife.
Mr. Norris is survived by his beloved family, wife, Melissa Green Norris; son, Jason Odom and wife Shanon; daughter, Kelly Norris Wilson and husband Michael; and son, Brian Norris; brother, Russel Daugherty; sisters, Jereldine Norris Fairchild and Shirley Ann Norris Sedam. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward Lee "Bo" Norris, Arland Norris; and sisters, Willie Mae Norris Curtis and Tressgen Norris Snavely.
Family visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
