DENISON - Timothy Joel Rutherford, 56, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 at his home in Denison.
Mr. Rutherford was born October 20, 1957 in Denton, the son of Eugene and Mary (Bright) Rutherford. He graduated from Denton High School, and worked at Danes Cabinet Shop as a cabinet maker until he completed his training as a Firefighter
and Paramedic. He served the Denison community proudly for over 24 years through his work within the Denison Fire Department. Mr. Rutherford attended the Park Avenue Church of Christ and was an avid fisherman until his health would no longer allow it. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Mr. Rutherford is survived by his family: loving wife of 30 years, Bonnie Rutherford; two daughters, Rachel Garland and husband, Juston, and Shannon Garner and husband, Brian; two sons, Chris Hix and wife, Jennifer, and Jimmy Hix and wife, Tami; 14 grandchildren; brother, Ed Rutherford; and two sisters, Margaret Brown and Mechelle Porterfield.
Graveside services for Mr. Rutherford will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Kemp Cemetery in Kemp, Okla. Family visitation will be held from 6 -8 p.m. Tuesday December 17, 2013 at Fisher Funeral Home.
