Troy Walker

DENISON - Troy Chesley Walker, 87, went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center. Troy was born March 4, 1926 near Eldorado, Okla. the son of Ed and Ruby Wallace. He graduated from Eldorado High School in 1943. He married Faye Byrd Collier October 27, 1966 in Vernon, Texas. He was married to his "FayeBaby" for 47 years. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. then worked for Conair in Ft. Worth, and later became a successful stonemason, his profession of 55 years.

Troy's work was impressive, and he was highly sought after by many contractors. Troy was an avid storyteller, always ready to expound on almost any subject. His interest in science, outer space, war, and Reader's Digest articles was apparent in his instant ability to tell a story. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for more than 30 years. He will be greatly missed.

Troy is survived by his family, wife, Faye Walker of Denison; son, Troy Lane Walker and wife, Kim of Denison; four stepsons, Bob Collier and wife, Linda of Carl Junction, Mo., Mike Collier and wife, Betty of Altus, Okla., Rick Collier of Webb City, Mo. and Kevin Collier of Denison, step-daughter, Tammy Riddle and husband, Billy of Denison; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one great-greatgrandson and numerous other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Lola and Leota and brother, Jimmy.

He was cremated according to his wishes. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Mattingly officiating. Family visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Collier, Derek Collier, Wade Collier, Eric Collier, Michael Holder, Billy Riddle and Brad Melton.
