Truman Barron(1931-2012)

SAVOY - Truman Barron went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012. He was born on Dec. 31, 1931 in Hopewell, Okla. the son of Emory and Ethel Dilbeck Barron. He married Lorene Jones on Feb. 23, 1958 in Durant, Okla.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy. The Rev. John Chism of Bonham Church of God will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Truman was a believer in the Lord and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He retired as an engineer from Hard-Wick Etter in Sherman, Texas. Truman attended Savoy Schools and served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Truman is survived by his wife of the home; son, Donald Barron and his wife Marsha of Wade, Okla.; daughter, Truanna Hickerson of Savoy; brother, Dalton Barron of Savoy; sisters, Ophelia "Sugar" Thomas of Durant, Okla., Margaret Monroe of Mesquite and Patsy Hutchins of Savoy; and grandchildren, Mark and Justin Barron and Jeremy Hickerson.

The family will receive friends from 10 -11 a.m., one-hour before service time on Monday.
