Wayne "Craig" Hall 79, of Caddo, Oklahoma passed away Friday November 30, 2012 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born September 18, 1933 in Anna to Dudley and Rona Bell Hanks Hall Sr. Craig Graduated from Anna High School in 1952 and then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War
. Craig then married the love of his life Peggy Pearl Miller on April 28, 1961 in Anna. Craig and Peggy moved to Caddo from Van Alstyne in 1972 with their two daughters, Marla Von and Misty Lou. Craig purchased Caddo Lumber in March of 1972 which he owned and operated for 40 years. Craig was a 32nd Degree Mason, a retired Caddo Volunteer Firefighter
, a member of the Caddo Lions Club and a member of the Caddo Roundup Club. Craig liked to fish and took pride in taking care of his cattle and land. He enjoyed his friends and his morning coffee at the Caddo Short Stop. Above all else,he loved his family. He took an active role in each and everyone of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives. Craig was Baptized in the Caddo Church of Christ in September 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dudley and Rona Bell Hall; brothers, Billy Jim and and Harold Byron Hall; sister, Meda Von Gray; brothers-in-law, Jack Campbell, Harold Hendricks and wife Karlyne of Anna.
Craig is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Peggy Pearl of the home; daughters, Marla Childers and husband Shelby of Oklahoma City and Misty Tally and husband Jason of Caddo, Okla.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren include Torrey Lester and Children Maverick, Rainey and Bella, Alan and Kasidy Williams and Children Konnor, Owen and Maggie, Kalan Richardson, Megan Murphree and Maddison, Alex and Megan Murphree and daughter Kloie, Tanner Richardson, Andy and Mairanda Murphree and son Jackson, brother D.W. Hall Jr. and wife Peggy of Anna, Texas, sister Helen Campbell of McKinney, Texas, and sister-in-law Bunt Hall of Anna, Texas, brothers-in-law Hamp Miller and wife Barbara, Virgil Miller and wife Jan all of Anna, Texas, and Bill Miller and wife Nancy of Caddo, numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of the Life of Craig Hall will be held at 10 a.m., Monday morning December 3, 2012 at the Caddo Church of Christ with Jimmy Stegall officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons. Family hour will be from 3 - 5, Sunday afternoon December 2, 2012 at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Caddo. Craig's wishes were that in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Caddo Fire Department and, or Caddo Public Schools in his memory.
