BONHAM - Funeral services for William Rubin "Bill" Eaves, 91, of Bonham will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Boyd Baptist Church under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Bro. Lyn Holly will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery, Bonham, Texas. Bill passed away Sunday afternoon, May 5, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.
Bill was born Oct. 17, 1921 in Louisville, Miss., the son of William Andrew Eaves and Pearl Augusta Rogers Eaves. He attended school in Louisville. Bill married Dulcie Ida "Dee" Compton on March 11, 1945 in Shelton, Wash. and she preceded him in death March 3, 1997. Bill was a US Navy
veteran of World War II
and was a lifetime member of the D.A.V. and the V.F.W
. He was a quality control supervisor with Kroehler Mfg. Co. for 27 years before retiring Sept. 29, 1979. Bill was a member of Boyd Baptist Church. He loved to travel and do carpentry work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Fred Eaves, Andrew Clinton Eaves and Rodger D. Eaves and a sister, Beryl Captolia Luther.
Bill is survived by sons, William Fred "Buddy" Eaves and wife Joan of Lewisville, Rodger Andrew "Spike"Eaves of Garland; daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Williams and husband Donald of Ector; brothers, Grady Jyles Eaves of Louisville, Miss., John Arthur Eaves of Jackson, Miss.; sisters, Velma Lee Eisenhart of Hattiesburg, Miss., Brownie Eldeen Jackson of Louisville, Miss.; seven grandchildren, DeeDee, Donna, Jennifer, Holly, Tony, Jason and Lainey; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Grady Peterson, Jimmy Elston, Mike McCaughn, Leeman Mills, Travis Baca, James Mayo, Jason Oliver and Ralph Judkins.
