James Coffey Obituary

Funeral services for James Wesley Coffey will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 13 at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery. Mr. Coffey, 85, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Texas Healthcare Presbyterian-WNJ Medical Center.

James was born on October 21, 1925 to John Coffey and Dora Kean Coffey in Jamestown, Ky. He married Christine Edwards on July 26, 1946. He graduated from Bonham High School and spent most of his working life in the retail field.
He was a member of Central Christian Church in Sherman, where he served as an elder and Sunday School Teacher. They enjoyed belonging to Lake Texoma Good Sams', where they traveled and camped.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He is survived by wife, Christine; two sons, Michael and wife Randi of Punta Gorda, Fla. and Larry and wife Connie of Lincoln, Neb.; one brother, Ted Coffey and wife Velda of Whitewright; sister, Doris Korioth of Sherman; four grandsons, two granddaughters, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A family visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, November 13 before the service. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.
