BONHAM - Funeral services for Belle Deupree Ray, 80, of Bonham will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at New Zion Baptist Church. Rev. Jon Barron and Mr. Rollie Rinker will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Carson Cemetery. Belle passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 in Denison, Texas.

Belle Deupree Ray was born on Dec. 9, 1932 in Hugo, Okla. to Roy and Lurlene (Walker) Deupree. Belle married Rex Ray on July 6, 1955 in Hugo. She retired from Grand Prairie Independent School District where she was an elementary school teacher. Belle graduated valedictorian from Hugo High School, graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and received her Master's Degree from North Texas State University. She is a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Rex Ray of Bonham; sons, Joe Ray and wife Beth of Grand Prairie, and Bryan Ray and wife Helene of Bedford; daughter, Beth Ray Porter and husband Ken of Bonham; brother, Joe Deupree and wife Jane of Colleyville; 10 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother – Paul Deupree.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Isaac Ray, Dan Ray, David Ray, Sam Ray, Joseph Ray, Michael Ray, Scott Ray, and Dylan Ray Porter.
Family visitation will be from 6 -8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
