DENISON - Bennie Leonard Wylie, 77, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 at Beacon Hill Nursing Home in Denison, Texas.

Bennie was born Nov. 6, 1935 in Cherokee County, S.C., the son of Ralph and Ella (Sullivan) Wylie. Mr. Wylie served his country proudly through his service in the National Guard and 21 years of dedication in the U.S. Air Force. Bennie married the love of his life, Anna Williams on Dec. 25, 1986 in Devine, Texas. After retiring from military service he gave numerous years of his life as a school teacher and coach. During his time as a teacher he impacted the lives of many students. Mr. Wylie delighted in his family and he will be deeply missed by each and every one of them.
Mr. Wylie is survived by his loving wife, Anna Wylie, and their children, William Wayne Wylie, and Wesley Warren Wylie and daughter-in-law, Anna Elizabeth Clarkson Wylie. He is also survived by six other children and 18 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Bennie is also survived by one brother, Bill Wylie and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Wylie will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel. Private family interment will follow at DFW National Cemetery. There is no set time for visitation.
