SAVOY - Charles "Chock" Troyer Hawk, age 81, entered into eternal life Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Mullican Care Center.|
Mr. Hawk was born March 11, 1933 in Savoy, Texas the son of Charles G. and Myrtle (Sanderson) Hawk. He graduated from Savoy High School in 1951. Chock then served his country proudly in the U. S. Army. He worked at the Denison Fire Department, Nathan Crouch Furniture and car dealerships until retiring in 2007. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Hawk is survived by his sister, Gladys Pierce, brother, John E. Hawk and wife, Lorene, sister-in-law, Bertine Hawk all of Savoy, Texas, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Myrtle Hawk, brother, James Harold Hawk and great nephew, James Anthony Hawk.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, April 11 at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
