SHERMAN - Cindy Looney, 58, of Pottsboro passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at her home.|
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, January 4 at Hagerman Baptist Church with Rev. Neal Alexander officiating. Family visitation will be held from 6 -8 p.m. Friday at the church.
Cindy was born on August 13, 1955 in Paris to Charles and Dorothy Whitten Fry. She graduated from Van Alstyne high school and received her bachelors degree in teaching from Texas A&M University. She married Aaron Looney on April 30, 1978 in Van Alstyne and was a devoted and loving teacher, specializing in educating children with dyslexia.
She will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched.
Survivors include her husband, Aaron Looney of Sherman; father, Charles Fry of Paris; sons, Adam Looney of Pottsboro and Taylor Looney of Oklahoma City; and sister, Gail Powell of Longview.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
