Edward Anthony Barton, 85, died Thursday, February 21, 2013 in The Woodlands, TX. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Sherman, Texas.

Edward (Bud) was born October 9, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio. In 1949 he married Nancy Keith Easley in Williamson, West Virginia. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and graduated from the University of West Virginia in 1950. He was a supervisor at Libbey Owens Ford working in their plants in West Virginia, Louisiana, Illinois and Texas, retiring in 1990.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Easley Barton; children, son James (Mary Beth) Barton of Marseilles, Ill.; daughter Keith (Grady) Ferry of The Woodlands; daughter Susanna (Dr. Kenneth) Rybicki of Belleville, Ill.; son Tom Barton of Sherman, and son George (Diane) Barton of Sherman. He was a proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and great grandfather to three. Edward is also survived by sister, June (the late Jim) Trinniman of Carlisle, Pa.; brother James (Judy) Barton of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother Jay (Mary) Barton of Lynchburg, Va.; and brother Jery (Elaine) Barton of Holland, Ohio.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents Albert Grant Barton and Sophie Renner Barton.
