TERRELL - Jesse Styles Elliott was born on April 29, 1967 in Terrell to Wayne and Frieda (Turner) Elliott. Jesse died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on October 19, 2013 at 46 years old. Jesse was a master mechanic, most recently working at Heritage Collision Center.|
As Jesse was stopped, awaiting oncoming traffic to clear before pulling into work, on his motorcycle, an inattentive driver hit him from behind, without slowing down.
Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Elliott and grandparents J.B and Thelma Turner and Ruben Doyle and Lois Elliott.
Mourning the loss of Jesse are his wife of 20 years, Kaye Elliott of Pottsboro, his mother Frieda Elliott Simpson & husband Kenneth of Terrell, a brother, Dennis Elliott & wife Tammy of Canton. Jesse leaves four Children; Cody Roberts, Chris Roberts, Kalii Linder and Stephanie Bice and 15 beloved grandchildren.
Jesse will never be forgotten, by the many brothers and sisters, who shared Jesse's passion for motorcycling. Jesse was a 20 year member of Texas ABATE, serving on the board for the past several years. Jesse was a US Defender and member of Coalition of Independent Riders (COIR), working together with all motorcyclists to improve legislative effectiveness and protecting our freedom to ride. Jesse has always been an advocate for promoting safety in motorcycling, helping ensure drivers "Look Twice .. Save a Life".
Jesse was a blessing to the community, always there to give to someone in need; whether it was fixing a car for a neighbor or helping a less fortunate family have a holiday meal and toys with Nurse Angel Ministries and "For the Kids" Toy Run.
On November 9 we will have a Celebration of Life for Jesse at the Sherman Elks Lodge beginning at 10 am with a memorial, followed by a ride to place a Motorcycle Fatality Awareness Red Cross at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jesse Elliott Motorcycle Safety Fund at any Landmark Bank.
