DENISON -- Richard "Dick" Anderson Farmer Sr., age 89, entered into eternal life Friday, July 18, 2014 at home with his beloved wife by his side.

Mr. Farmer was born January 4, 1925 in Oklahoma City, Okla. the son of Grady Earl and Mary Zilpah (Pyburn) Farmer. He attended schools in Denison and then served his country proudly in the U. S. Navy. Dick married the love of his life, Bobbie Garren on July 16, 1960. He had a heart of gold and always gave of himself freely to others. He was one of the first Heart Menders for Texoma Medical Center. Dick also volunteered for seven years at Eisenhower State Park. He loved the Lord and was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Dick will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Farmer is survived by his beloved family, wife of 54 years, Bobbie Farmer of Denison; sons, Richard Anderson Farmer Jr and wife, Enid of Rowlett, Texas and Mark Trevillian and wife, Pam of Little Rock, Ark.; grandson, Richard Anderson Farmer III of Rowlett, and granddaughter, Anna Rose Trevillian of North Carolina; sisters, Carolyn Widner of Bovina, Texas and Annetta Farris and husband, Will of San Angelo, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Gerry Porter and infant brother.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with the Very Rev. Donald Perschall officiating. Mr. Farmer will be laid to rest in the St. Luke's Memorial Garden. A reception will follow in Kofeldt Hall.
