POTTSBORO - Robert Harold Sampson, 79, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, at Georgetown Baptist Church. Burial will be at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Bob was born April 13, 1934 in Endicott, New York, the son of Howard W. Sampson and Goldie Widger Sampson. He spent 26 years in the military and retired from the Air Force with honors as a Master Sergeant.
He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, reading, playing Keno, trolling auctions for treasures, but he mostly enjoyed family gatherings. He was also a volunteer fire fighter and ambulance driver for 15 years with Preston Volunteer Emergency Service.
He is survived by wife, Wilma of Pottsboro; daughters, Pauletta Landers of Melissa, Jeanne Wilson of Allen; sons, James Sampson, Raymond Sampson of Denison; sister, Becky Edwards of Cortland, N.Y.; brother, Raymond Sampson of Cortland, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer Research.
