Services to celebrate the life of Roy Lee Graham will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 -8 p.m. at Waldo Funeral Home.

Roy was born Jan. 31, 1945 in Memphis, Texas to Leonard and Betty (Boland) Graham and passed from this life on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 at the age of 67. Roy grew up in the Memphis area and left high school to join the United States Army. Roy fought in Vietnam and earned a Purple Heart, four Bronze Service Stars, and was an Expert with Rifles M-14 and M-16. Roy was very proud of his service to our country. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant on Dec. 1, 1967. Roy married Sally Kirkland on Jan. 27, 1972 in Sherman, Texas. She preceded him in death on Nov. 18, 2009. Roy loved fishing, and enjoyed hunting, woodworking, raising animals and livestock.
Roy was also preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings.
He is survived by his sons, Lee Graham and his wife Kate; Slade Graham and his wife Crystal; grandchildren, Shelby, Haley and Skilar Graham, all of Sherman.
Military honors will be performed by the Fort Hood Honor Guard at the grave site.
