DENISON - Belle Augustine, 70, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Homestead of Denison.|
Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison. Visitation will follow the rosary from 7 to 8 p.m.
Funeral Mass for Belle will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 314 N. Rusk Ave., Denison, with Rev. Stephen Mocio officiating. Pallbearers will be Carter Augustine, Drew Augustine, Brandon Augustine, Stan Alford, David Bayless, Jr. and Marty Criswell.
Belle was born September 12, 1939 in Marshall, Mo., the daughter of Claude Carter and Dorothy Miller Carter. She graduated from Alma High School, Alma, Mo. and attended Central Missouri State College. She married Gene Augustine on August 22, 1959. She worked at financial institutions her whole career - First Texas Savings & Loan, Edward D. Jones as a broker, ending her last 11 years with Fidelity Investments in Dallas.
She is survived by husband Gene of Denison; sons Greg and wife Lydia of Liberal, Kan., Jeff and wife Maggie of Des Moines, Iowa; grandsons Drew and wife Lisa Augustine and Carter Augustine; granddaughter Jorin; great-granddaughter Maddyson; great-grandson Pierce; sisters Darlene Schafar and husband Ernie of Lee's Summitt, Mo., Gaylene Dieckhoff and husband Clifford of Phoenix, Ariz., Connie Aversman and husband Glenn of Harrisonville, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Doug.
