DENISON – Services for Bobby J. Crites will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rusty Denny, former pastor of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church and Bob Stephens officiating. Pallbearers will be his Masonic Brothers. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Crites, Jon Crites, Steven Crites, Gene Crites and Alfred Reed. Mr. Crites passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013. Masonic Rites will be held in the Waldo Chapel, burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Ft. Hood Honor Guard. Waldo Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Bobby was born Oct. 9, 1945 in St. Louis, Mo. to Robert E. and Rebecca (Stacy) Crites. He graduated from South East Missouri State University. He married Patsy Ann Reed Sept. 18, 1965 and she preceded him in death Aug. 13, 1993. On Oct. 4, 1997 he married Carol Webb at the Trinity Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas.

In 1964 Bobby began Southeastern signal school in Ft. Gordon, Ga. as an aviation electronic equipment tech. From the Fall of 1964 through Sept. of 1965 he served in Korea with HUD 7 Aviation and CO A, 7 Aviation and was discharged in 1969. He started his career with Texas Instruments in 1978 where he was involved in the Paveway program and later transferred to Raytheon with the same program and retired after 25 years. He then served in the Air Force from December 2003 until June 2008.

He was a member of the VFW, American Defense Preparedness Association, American Legion, and Billie Mosse Masonic Lodge. Bobby was a 32 Degree York and Scottish Rite Mason, he serviced at High Priest, Illustrious Master, Eminent Commander and other elected and appointed positions during his Masonic Career.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Patsy, brother Dwayne, sister Wanda White, Aunt "Pete," son-in-law Casey McClain, granddaughter Elizabeth Ann McClain and extended Crites family.

He is survived by his wife Carol of Denison, daughter Rebecca McClain of Howe, sons Richard Lee Crites and wife Carol of Denison, John Edward Crites and wife Valerie of Irmo, South Caroline and Steven Ray Crites and wife Jennifer of Sherman, grandchildren Caleb McClain, Matthew Fortney, Alexander Fortney, Christopher Crites, Alexandria Crites, Patricia Crites, Timothy Crites and Charles Bailey Crites, brother Gene Crites and other family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. on Friday, March 1 at Waldo Funeral Home.
